About Our President

Cambr’s founder and president is Jay Asuncion, a graduate of the University of North Florida’s Construction program and has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry in varying roles. He has served as an Engineering Associate with a large engineering firm and was involved with quality assurance construction materials testing, contract administration for the Florida Department of Transportation, and performed various building and property condition surveys. As a Regional Technical Manager for a modular building company, he provided technical expertise to the sales team which included schematic building designs, technical specification writing, cost estimates and project management for permanent modular building projects. The majority of his experience has been with two major lending institutions where he has provided construction loan administration, pre-closing construction due diligence, and construction monitoring on commercial construction projects. Project experience include Multi-Family Residential, Assisted-Living/Memory Care, Industrial Warehouse, Hi-Rise Office, Retail, Residential Land Development and Single-Family Residential Construction.
